Nearest Book Game...

Grab the book nearest you. right now. turn to page 56. find the fifth sentence. post that sentence. don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. just use the CLOSEST.

"It is this compliant animal, to the public no different from the others in size and apparent ferocity, that will be the star of the show, while the trainer leaves the beta and gamma lions, more cantankerous subordinates, sitting on their colourful barrels on the edge of the ring."  From Life of Pi by Yann Martel

Pretty interesting so far.  Not really what I expected.

"He knew she was bad, but he didn't have any idea, not like I did, of how hard she rode her mama." from A Virtuous Woman by Kaye Gibbons. A Nan kind of book.
